Hi, I am Mal Gillham and I love photography. It feels like I have had a camera in my hand for years and have been photographing weddings since 1994. It all started at Queensland Medical Laboratories in Brisbane where I was in charge of medical photography. We started to be approached by friends to photograph their wedding, or their sons wedding and it has developed from their.

 Leiden Studios began in 2005 and has developed into what is is now over that time. Kellie had been on every wedding since the begining, and it was a natural progression for her to move from assistant to carrying a camera as well. She is now a very capable photographer and bring to our weddings a very different perspective and creative eye.  As a team we work well together because we have done this for such a long time.To us, weddings are very personal. Each is different, each has it’s characters and each deserves the best capture possible.

We are happy that Kelly Ramsay from Harmony Portraits has joined our business and will be helping with weddings and portraiture. She brings a wealth of experience in family, pregnancy and new born photography gained during years in the business. she can be booked by contacting our office during normal hours.

I am a full member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) and use my membership to attend conferences and continue to build on our knowledge base. In our ever changing world, technology and software is always changing and so continuing to educate ourselves is important. 

We like to mix our style a bit, so coverage of your wedding will include "capturing the moment” through to the more creative images we are know for. We like to work very closely with our clients in order to react to the events of the day.When you meet us you will soon realise that we love what we do and we get as much of a thrill over your images as you will. We cature real emotiom, real moments and really cool images..........
